Well I found the new guy thread at last! I've been veggie for a while but after seeing how bad the dairy industry is, have decided to transition to vegan in protest. It also has health benefits for me and wished I had started years ago.
I'm 51, live in the UK, south west of London with my wife of 8 years. I absolutely love my 'diet' now as I have been forced to try so many new delicious food items, even Tofu which I have never really liked until I found a different way to cook it.
I mentioned to my brother, who lives in Denmark, about a plant based diet to which he replied he has been doing the same for some time but has never told me and he promptly bought me some kindle items and suggested some films to watch.
Anyway, its been heartening to read the forums to see I'm not 'alone' in my new found lifestyle and hope to come back soon!
