What started as The Great American Meatout in 1985, modeled after The Great American Smokeout, is now a worldwide phenomenon that occurs every year on the first day of spring above the equator (March 20). As the site says, thousands of people worldwide have participated in events designed to encourage as many people as possible to eat strictly vegan for one day, and hopefully even continue to eat vegan once the day is over.

The 30th anniversary is coming up in just one week, and I thought I'd post about it here for anyone who may be interested in participating or even just encouraging their omni loved ones to try a vegan diet for just one day.

That would be nice if my omni family ate vegan even for one day. Like c'mon, it's awesome. :p But I dunno how to cook and even if I made something amazing, they'd probably just add animal products to it
