I'm sure you've all heard about it. Robotic landings on Mars are almost commonplace now.

Hopefully this one will be able to dig up some really useful information (no pun intended, btw)

There's also talk of mining Mars for raw materials to one day build a base there.

The only thing I want to see discovered is a Martian fossil.

:) Commonplace but still useful, also impressive in terms of engineering. It would be exciting to see evidence (or, while we're wishing, proof!) of past life on Mars.

Wait, didn't Newt Gingrich promise to built a permanent colony on the moon for that purpose, if elected? *Mad grin*

Back to curiosity: That's really exiting. Live images from Mars!

It'd be awesome if they got into the cave they're supposed to be exploring and they found microbes or tiny worms or something. That seems like the most plausible way life could be found on Mars.
