VeggieViews has four optional user groups that you can request to join:

  • Sexuality, which gives you access to the Sexuality forum.
  • 18+ Discussion, all other content not suitable for PG-13 audience.
  • Men's Health Issues, which gives you access to that forum.
  • Women's Health Issues, which gives you access to that forum.
Requesting to Join

Open the drop down list besides your username on the top right of any page and choose Join User Groups. Check the box of the group/s you want to join and click Save at the bottom. This request will then go to the moderator of those user groups - myself for NSFW, Mel for 18+ Discussion, Envy for men's health, and kibbleforlola for women's health.

Criteria for the NSFW Group

The minimum requirements for this group are:
  • that you've posted an introduction thread
  • that you're 18 or older in earth years
  • that you are relatively active on the forum (i.e. not a lurker)
  • that we have an idea of your personality
You may be removed from the group if:
  • your posts make others uncomfortable
  • you 'lurk' there, meaning you read but don't post
The idea of this isn't to be exclusive or cliquey, but to make sure everybody posting about their private lives can do so comfortably. We know this is the internet and nothing is 100% secure, so we want to be as sure as we can be that people in Sexuality aren't going to misuse the posts they see in there.

Please don't be upset if your application isn't approved immediately. If we don't know you from another board, you will likely have to wait at least 3 or 4 weeks before a request is accepted. We aren't saying you're not trustworthy, just that we want to know you a little more. :)

Please read on for criteria for the other two groups.

To join the women's health forum, you must:
  • Be a woman
  • Have started an introduction thread
  • Be an established member of the community
Likewise, the women's health forum is supposed to be a safe space, and if at any time a member is compromising the safety of the group, that member may be asked to leave.

We've added a new joinable usergroup called 18+ Discussion.

This will be separate from the Sexuality forum. Joining this group will allow you access to a new sub-forum of the same name in the Community category. The 18+ discussion forum is meant for subjects that don't necessarily have anything to do with our sexuality (since that sub-forum is in the health section of the board) and meant for those who don't want to talk or read about sex, but would still like to engage in other adult discussions. We will still moderate the usergroup (need to request to join), but we will not be checking for lurkers as we are in the Sexuality forum.

Edited the OP with information about this usergroup. Criteria for joining soon to be added.

*BUMP*

Thought I should bring these user groups to everyone's attention again, in case anyone is missing out.
