Is It Ever Ethical- Omni Food for A Dog?

Hello ,
I passionately disagree with animal slaughter and cruelty.
However, I also kind of think that animals are generally happier and healthier when eating their natural diet. What if you’re in a country that doesn’t have vegan dog food readily available?
I would want to feed my dog right, but what if I feed the dog a meat/fish-based dog food and then make up for it tenfold by doing animal rights activism? I still wouldn’t be comfortable with it…

I kind of think of how you define ethics. or what kind of ethics you are using.

My short answer is that it is never ethical to buy animal based products. and I'm not so sure about having pets either.

However, my personal belief system is to reduce suffering and if by rescuing an animal that seems like it would have that kind of result. And if it requires meat....
