The best taco seasoning recipe ever

Taco seasoning mix
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Store in an airtight container. Season to taste.

I've never made my own taco seasoning before, might have to try this next time... maybe add a touch of cayenne to spice it up a bit.

Yes! I agree. This looks like a recipe that one could have fun with. I was thinking of trying out ancho chile power, or adding a bit of powdered lime peel.

I have to try this...hubby has high blood pressure and the pre-packed store bought stuff is way too salty!

Yeah, I definitely need to make my own. The pre-packaged stuff is so ultra salty.
