Today, September 2nd, is Labor Day in the United States. It's a federal holiday. Most workers get the day off, usually with pay. If you are off, I hope you have a good day off. Some people have to work (or like to work) the holiday, so I hope you have a good work day and get paid extra for it.

Why Newt Gingrich is an idiot who needs to go back to school.
Child labor laws exist because 8 year olds were being pulled out of school and sent to work in factories to earn a few extra pennies for their families. They worked long hours and risked injury and death in dangerous jobs. I know there are politicians and others who desperately long to regress to an earlier age, such as the 1950's. Who knew there was at least one politician who wants to go back an entire century?
