For those not familiar with The Big Issue, it is a magazine in the UK sold by people who do not have permanent accommodation and are unemployed. The Vendors buy the magazine for £1.25 and re-sell it to customers for £2.50.

There is a really great article by Robert McLiam Wilson about how adopting a cat made him think again about being a meat eater
