Festival Squash

I have a festival squash (otherwise called a carnival squash I think?) in my house at the moment. I have zero clue what to do with it, so I was hoping for some suggestions!

I also have some celery I would like to get rid of, bonus points if the recipe uses both up

Soup. The easiest way to use up lots of different veggies. Or a casserole!
I have no idea what squash is...like pumpkiny/butternut squash?

Yeah. Looks like a small green & white pumpkin on the outside. No idea what it tastes like, though, so I don't know what it would go with for a soup.

Festival squash is mild tasting, a little sweet, and a little stringy. I like to bake it like an acorn squash. This recipe looks good, with dried cranberries and pecans. http://gfpumpkins.wordpress.com/2010/01/06/baked-festival-squash/
