Strawberry and Rose Sorbet

Serves: 12
  • 4 pounds strawberries
  • 1 pound vegan sugar or maple syrup to taste
  • 4 tablespoons rose water
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Few rose petals to serve (optional)
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  1. Place a saucepan with water over medium heat. Add sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and cool for a while.
  2. Add strawberries into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the sugar syrup or maple syrup into the blender and blend until smooth. Add rose water and lemon juice and blend again.
  3. Pour into a bowl and chill for a couple of hours.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions manual for 15-20 minutes.
  5. When churned, pour into a freezer safe container and place in the freezer and freeze for a couple of hours.
Scoop and serve.
