Pretty cool as far as I'm concerned, if only for the reason that it won't happen again until 2117, and I'm all about watching once-in-a-lifetime events. It was cloudy where I live so I only got to watch it on the internet, but it was still way cool. Did any of you get to see it live where you are? I'd love to hear about it!

It was very cloudy here! :( I saw it for a moment on the internet though. It was kinda cool.

I tried the pinhole method but it was driving me crazy, and eventually the sun disappeared behind a tree/buildings, so I pretty much watched the entire thing online.

Awww that sucks Mel, but I was in the same situation. Still cool to watch on the internet...

I'd still like to know if anyone actually saw it live and what method you used to see it without burning out your retina. :p

Venus is my favorite planet, so I'm sad I missed this. I wouldn't have missed it except for the fact that I don't exactly have solar viewing filters sitting around. :(
