Today I finished Dr Greger's book How not to Die. It was wonderful evidence to show how vegan diet is ultimately the healthiest. Not only with certain diseases but with all of them.

I read online last night that vegan diet causes depression. And yet Dr Greger says it's the opposite. It seems like there's a lot of meat industry supporters online!

Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to say vegan diet causes depression is so wrong! If one supplements with Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Omega 3 then one is all set for health!

Another interesting thing about the harms of meat is the toxic chemicals that are circulating around the Earth and how they are found concentrated more in animal products than plants.

So to have the least amount of toxins in one's system, one should aim for a plant diet.

So not only does vegan diet save one from diseases and from germs, it also saves us from pollution in our bodies. Plus it saves environment and saves animals.

A total win-win!! 👍👍

that is like the best book on the subject but I also like Dr. Fulman's Eat To Live. Whole by Campbell, and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Plant-Based Nutrition. by Julieanna Hever

there is so much misinformation out there. The Meat and Dairy industry are responsible for a lot of it. I always get a kick out of it when some Foundation or other reports on the benefits of a Carnist diet and then some random vegan on YouTube does a deep dive and reports that the foundation has strong ties to Meat and Dairy.

However, if you hang around here long enough you will see some post about how being vegan is difficult for some people. Mostly socially. So maybe they have a point.

Heck. the meat and dairy industry spike animal feed with hormones and antibiotics.
The documentary Cowspiracy has a lot of info about this. If you haven't seen it you should. its available for free in a lot of places.

People are always telling me that they eat fish twice a week for the Omegas. but fish twice a week also provides a person with more than recommended amounts of heavy metals.

And factory farming has been linked to breeding grounds for diseases. IE bird flu. our next epidemic might be something that starts there.

Win-win- win

Hmmmm.... Vegans care more about animals than most people do. If they sometimes get depressed about that, who could blame them? If this is so, the answer is for vegans (and vegetarians) to support each other- which they do!

Saying vegan only implies no animal products--it's about ethics. There are a lot of unhealthy ways to stay vegan.
Dr Greger and most all the nutrition based physicians will stick to saying Whole Food Plant Based
Saying a vegan diet is healthier is misleading. I've known fitness fanatics who eat a far healthier diet that includes some meats than I ever do

Top of the food chain eaters consume the most toxins.

That is why consuming tuna is incredibly dangerous. Tuna are top line predators, which means heavy metals, especially mercury, are concentrated in tuna.
