15 g cornflour
200 ml non dairy milk
50 ml non dairy cream
7 g pb spsread
1- 2 tbs vegan sugar (or sweetener)
vanilla extract
vegan yellow food colour (optional)
Mix the cornflour to a smooth paste with a little of the cold milk. Bring the remainder
of the milk and cream to the boil. Pour onto the paste, stirring well. Return to the
saucepan and cook until it boils and thickens. Remove from the heat and add the sugar, butter
vanilla extract. If using add a few drops of yellow food colour.
Tip : Serve with baked and steamed puddings. This recipe isn't as tasty as real custard and that's why
