TV & Film Can't remember the name of a cartoon

I've been racking my brain trying to remember.

Essentially it was about these soldiers on a spaceship that was shaped like a WWII battelship. It had a big hole in the front from which they could shoot a massive laser/energy beam.

I don't remember the exact plot or character names.
