Vegan Bobs Red Mill Chocolate chip cookies

I LOVE Bob's Red Mill products, and when I saw this vegan recipe on the side of the whole wheat pastry flour bag, I had to try!
These came out better than any eggless chocolate chip I've ever made--

1/2 cup vegan margarine
1/3 cup oil (I used about 2 T. )
1 1/2 cups sugar (I used 1 cup white, 1/2 cup brown-could have used less)
3/8 cup non dairy milk (just under 1/2 cup )
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/4 regular rolled oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips (I would use raisens or dried cranberries next time)

Cream together shortenings and sugars till very blended. Add milk and vanilla.
Mix all dry ingrediants and mix till blended.
Refrigerate about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 F.
Place tablespoons on greased baking sheet and bake 10 minutes (mine took 12 to 13).
They will flatten themselves so make round balls- I used a cookie scoop.

They did break apart pretty easy, so next time I'd add 1/4 cup of ground flax to the milk or increase flour a bit.
