Glad I said goodbye to AVG after it started pulling all that weird crap last year.

The article said there was/is some sort of opt-out option, for what it is worth.

ETA: I don't understand the "logic" of marrying an antivirus with the collection of browsing data. Yes, to make some money, but I don't see the relationship.
