Australia - Plan to Cull 2 m Cats

If ****ing humans could only be arsed to spay/neuter their domesticate animals, this kind of problem wouldn't arise in the first place.

They need to do a massive trap, spay/neuter/release, and start cracking down on people who don't spay/neuter their own pets, or allow them to roam.

That would take care of the problem in the same amount of time as it will take to kill 2 million cats, only to have the problem resurge time after time.

Agreed. But if humans would understand that they are, as a species, completely unsuitable to be owners of any other species and abstain from having pets in the first place, these issues would eventually disappear - as would pet ownership. It would be interesting to know what percentage of all animals bred to be pets or domesticated to be companions actually make it from birth to old age suitably cared for by one owner.

Awful, why don't they just decide to spay and neuter the feral cats? Money presumably...

IMO, by the time humans as a whole would come to this point, they would also be acting responsibly toward their companion animals, thereby rendering the entire argument moot.
