I like this series better than the first series already. It had quite a few nods to other films/shows and Jessica Lange was amazing as usual.
 
The asylum is definitely a far scarier place than the house from the first season.

Yeah..I'm not liking it. I'm somewhat disappointed. I just couldn't finish watching the whole episode. I am not into torture stuff and there was just too much of that for me. The camera work was also getting on my nerves.

i agree.
loved the first season of this show and was really looking forward to see what they would come up with next.
i like my horror to be supernatural paranormal fantasy horror, not human on human torture horror, so if this first episode is any indication of what's to be, i'm out.
there was only about 2 minutes total of some alien abduction stuff going on and that was it. i don't even think that "Bloody Face" the present day honeymooning girl ran into was a ghost...i think it's just the real still-alive him whose just been living there in the asylum this whole time.
so yeah, 3 strikes and it's out. will watch it 2 more times to see what develops.
 
I liked the second episode although I didn't find it frightening like the first one. I really like this series so far, I think it is because there is a lot of atmospheric detail from the time period and the "horror" is more realistic as I'm sure these type of abuses were common in mental institutions.

I think there is a lot of black humour too which I enjoy, I laughed at the "nymphomaniac" patient saying she loved to masturbate as a kid so her mother made her wear mittens to bed.:D

I wonder why Grace and Kit didn't speak up and tell Sister Jude it was the reporters idea? She ****** me off, I hope they kick her *** in the future. :p

For those who haven't seen it, don't worry, I haven't given anything away. But, I bet you're curious as to what the idea was. ;)
 
Are you guys still watching this? I gave up after the first episode. I've read some reviews of the episodes since then and I'm glad I decided to stop watching. Sucks because I liked the first season with the house and the family. This torture/alien/porn stuff is just not for me.
 
I'm still watching it, I like all the twists that keep coming up. Also the revealing of the back stories and the secrets of the people and staff there.
