African Land Snails: Breeding Like Rabbits

I don't know how old this story is but it's one of those cute pieces that made me laugh, thought I'd share.

Two pet snails have left their owner shell-shocked by producing 300 babies.

Ann Dring, 40, had no idea the giant African land snails could hatch so many little ones. Now she is desperately trying to find them homes.
'There's no way we can keep them all - we haven't got enough lettuce,' said Ms Dring, of Bristol.

Ha I know what you mean, slugs EVERYWHERE here on a wet morning. I always shout "watch out for the slugs" over my shoulder to Mr Snot when we leave.

I just loved the "we don't have enough lettuce" comment here
