Me, too. I so love hot sauce.
I'm having a spinach salad with marinated tofu, carrots, onions, celery, dill pickle slices and green olives topped with oil and red wine vinegar.
I still have two slices of the cake in my freezer. One is for a friend, but the other one is mine, hehe. I was thinking I could make just the chocolate cake with that recipe because the flavor is so good.
I hear you on the seitan sausages. I usually make a dozen when I make them. It's a long cooking session, but so worth it. In fact, my mom wants some for a spring brunch she wants to have in May. I couldn't believe she wanted to include them on the menu! So I will be making some soon. :)
Yes, that filling would be great in cupcakes. I'm not sure why the recipe calls for boiling the milk and cocoa. Maybe the cocoa powder blends in better when it's heated to boiling?
Awww, boo! RE: Doughnuts. I so wish we had The Holy Donut here in CT. There are two in Portland, Maine, and they usually have three or four kinds of vegan doughnuts. They are so freakin' good.
Oh, excellent! I so hope you enjoy it. It does make a mess in the kitchen, but at least you get to lick lots of pans between the batter, the filling and the ganaches, hehe!
I agree. I think the motivation behind going vegan is the key. So many people who try it are focused on only the diet with respect to health, losing weight, etc. And that doesn't always last. It's reducing the harm to animals (and the environment) that keeps me on the vegan path.
